Blair
Drummond
House

We took
a trip
to Blair
Drummond
Safari
Park.
On the
outskirts
of
Stirling.
We were
lucky
with the
weather
which
was
lovely
and
sunny.
After
weeks of
rain it
was a
welcome
change.
What do
you
think of
the
house??.
what a
beauty.
Not open
to the
public
though.
I did
not get
as many
animal
pictures
as I
would
have
liked.
Most of
them
were
taking
cover
from the
sun and
we could
not see
them.
But what
I have
should
give you
an idea
of what
was
there.

I have a
short
video of
them
which I
will try
to show
you but
I have
not had
much
success
with
videos
showing
up on my
web
site.

Harris
Hawk

This is
the
Harris
Hawk.
You
should
have
seen the
speed of
him.
Don't
blink or
you will
miss
him.!!!

Peregrine
Falcon
"Delores"
Steppe
Eagle

Needless
to say
but this
is a
Barn
Owl.
I just
love
them.

A wooden
carving
outside
the new
Aviary.

Now on
to the
big
boys.
Lions
What a
job
trying
to see
them so
the
quality
of some
of the
pictures
could be
better.

Handsome.
The
marks
you see
is the
wire
fence
and I am
on full
zoom.

There
had been
a right
argument
going on
just
before I
could
take a
picture.
You
should
have
heard
the
roaring.
Bad
temper
due to
the heat
I think.

I am
sorry I
do not
have any
tiger
pictures.
They
would
not come
out into
the
open.

Buffalo

Elephant

Giraffe

Ring
Tailed
Lemurs.
They do
not look
happy do
they?
They
have
been
moved to
a new
home but
unfortunately
even
though
it was a
hot
sunny
day
it was
also
very
windy
and they
did not
like
that.
Hence,
apart
for the
other
two
above,
they
were
well
huddled
together
out of
the
wind.

The
Llamas
were in
the
children's
petting
part so
no wire.
I was
surprised
at how
they
felt.
The coat
felt
quite
harsh.
I
thought
it would
have
felt
soft.
Just
goes to
show how
much I
know.

Ostrich

Rhinoceros

Zebra

Sea Lion
I was
very
pleased
to get
this
picture
during
the act.
The full
size
picture
is much
better
but too
big to
put
here.

Penguins
Their
pool was
very
nice
cascading
down.

They
were
determined
not to
look at
you at
the same
time.

Muscovy
Ducks
and
offspring.

This is
the view
over the
lake
where
the
Harris
Hawk
etc. did
their
flying
display.

That is
Loch
Lomond
and
Trossachs
National
Park up
ahead.
Still a
fair bit
away. A
good
hours
drive at
least.
Well I
will
leave it
here for
the
moment.
I have a
lot more
pictures.
If you
see
anything
you like
and
would
like
just
e-mail
me and I
will
send you
the
large
picture.
These
here
have
been
cropped
and
greatly
reduced.
The full
size
ones are
much
better.
